As I’ve already done with economics, I’m adding a design feedroll. I’m not exactly a designer — at least not a visual or conventional one — but I love thinking like a designer and knowing what’s going on in the industry.

Of course a lot of people have already seen this [added here Oct 11]: But fewer people saw him on the Charlie Rose show Friday night. Chris Rock is one of those people who makes me want to do what he does. I think I enjoy hearing Chris Rock talk about comedy as much as I [...]

People are ridiculous. Folks are panicking because they suddenly realize they didn’t consider the obvious facts about the serious, deep, underlying problems in the U.S. financial industry.

Now I don’t really know what to think. From what I saw (the first 45 minutes of Canadian leaders’ debate and about 15 or 20 minutes of American veeps’ debate), I feel like I’m far less able to predict the outcomes than I was a few hours ago.

I hesitate to predict anything about these debates tonight. If anything, tonight might be one of those occasions that reminds us that predicting the future is really a fraudulent vocation. It might be one of the most [...]

I wanted to wait until after McCain’s speech tomorrow to write on this but now I’m not even sure if I’ll bother tuning in. I feel like all he’s doing is walking Sarah Palin up the aisle to be the next Republican president. This positive assessment of Palin’s political future doesn’t contradict my criticism of [...]
