I’m not great at math but…

07-27-2009

When a person orders four books at once from Chapters.Indigo.ca — all of which were “in stock” — why did they ship one of them a day before the other three… which, because of the weekend, resulted in all four arriving via the same delivery anyways… with the result that the latter three were in front of my door when I came home today, accompanied by a delivery notice referring me to the “nearest” Canada Post outlet to sign for the fourth, er, I mean the first one.

And why do I have to take a 10 minute bus ride to the “nearest” outlet, located in a gift shop in Oxbury “Mall,” when I could easily walk 10 minutes to a dedicated Canada Post outlet on Richmond St?

And why does it rain every damn day?

More From the Archives:

  • I hate the postal zones that they have mapped out. The easiest location for me to get to (walking or driving) is the downtown dedicated location (or Citi Plaza location) but all of my stuff gets sent to the one on Baseline and Wellington, which is further and a pain to get to.

Don't even get me started on Purolator...
  • I like when I get delivery notices citing "no answer" as the reason I have to trudge to pick it up, when I would have known if they came to the door since my buzzer links to my cell phone even if I'm actually not home.

I definitely blame Chapters for the rain though.
